The Town of Kingfield is a member of the MSAD/RSU #58 School District and  the home of the Kingfield Elementary School. The public elementary school is considered a high performing school and open for student kindergarten through eighth grade.

High school aged students attend Mount Abram Regional High School in nearby Salem Township.

To the north in Carrabassett Valley is Carrabassett Valley Academy a private school at the base of world renowned Sugarloaf Mountain Resort.

MSAD #58 releases the 2011 bus schedule for Kingfield

KES Salem/Freeman Run – The bus will depart the Kingfield School @6:40, picking up students on the Foster Hill Rd, then to Baker Hill Rd, Rt. 142 out and back to Kingfield School. The bus will then depart Kingfield School for the Freeman Ridge Road.

West Kingfield Run – The bus will depart the bus garage at 6:50 the first stop will be at the Hinkley Pit Rd., then taking a right onto Blanchard Hill Rd., turning around at the Day Pond Rd. The bus will then go back down West Kingfield Rd. turning into Old Parkway and then back to Rt. 27. The bus will then go to Church St., School St., Curve St., then onto the elementary school to drop off students. The bus will then return to the center of town to pick up high school students and depart for MTA @ 7:45.

Kingfield Run – The bus will leave the Kingfield School @7:00 and go to the Deer Farm Rd. The bus will then go around the Narrow Gauge Park, then to the Kingfield Woodsman Restraunt. The bus will proceed to the center of town to drop off the high school students. The bus will then proceed to Maple St., Rt. 16, and Riverside St. The bus will then head back into town to drop off the remaining high school students, and then continue on to KES.
